WHAT WE DO
Today we still cook those homemade menus and are now serving an average of 80 to 100+ homeless people every Friday night at Moeur Park in Tempe, AZ. Located off the 202 just north of Tempe Town Lake, we set up tables and serve all who come. That potluck has now become a full meal served by our dedicated volunteers. . There is no cost for our friends, we simply ask that they sign in making it possible for us to track the numbers we are feeding. Occasionally, we can provide the basics of personal care; a clean shirt, personal hygiene products and socks.
Based on this year’s projections we expect to serve around 4,400 meals this year. Funding comes from Christian organizations, churches and individuals like you. No government oversight allows us to continue to speak the gospel of Jesus Christ to our friends each week. When available, we provide daily devotionals and Bibles. Occasionally we are asked by someone for a cross to wear, when they see us wearing ours proudly. Hearts are changed one friend at a time. The thoughtfulness of those who help is greatly appreciated. And the knowledge that someone cares about our friends is shown on the faces of those we serve.
